the google maps hackathon finally opened their project gallery, would be SUPER grateful if you guys could check it out and give it a like <3@one of the officers of a honors society at school asked me to make them some sort of hours tracker that lets members of the society to sign up for tutoring slots for the last two periods of a day every day, but since our schedule is really weird, i needed to come up with some weird solution for it
so i used a google apps script to pull the data from the public google calendar on our school’s website that they always update with the current school day and if there’s no school that day, and then format it and put it into a google sheet
not bad for a 2 hour project at midnight if i do say so myself@so…i got an invitation from mit to interview with an alumni@applications: submitted@heyoo! worked on adding a blog to my personal site today, complete with a loading bar at the top, sweet animations, and formatting (+ syntax highlighting for code blocks!)@taught myself figma animations hehe@hey y’all :D

i did a bunch of polishing today, and also turned my app into a PWA! that just means that you can turn it into a little bookmark on your phone that looks like its a real app :>

today, i added a optional day/time picker, so if you’re planning an event of some kind, you can filter through locations that are open at whenever you want to meet! also discovered that i went over my limit and now i owe google 50 bucks :(@day 8 of zachtoberfest!

today was mostly fixing bugs that crashed my computer and killed everything :threat:
i also made it so that the sidebar scrolls to certain cards based on which marker you press on in the map and added links to the business’s website and google maps page!

Today, I added more filters, the ability to customize radius, some important bug fixes, the map automatically panning when you add more addresses or find locations, and added an error message if it cant find anything :)

I’ve started my website, added dark mode/light mode, made it possible to add multiple addresses for multiple people, and implemented google maps’ autocomplete for when people start searching things up :3

(shot on iPhone)@16 hours later on the sprig tetris game@this looks really simple but i finally got dynamic grid map generation to work in my new sprig game! i didn’t hardcode any bitmaps or maps, but the program takes a 2d array of values i put in, converts it into a 4d array for the 16x16 bitmaps, and then converts that into the 6 bitmaps that it uses to make the map!!@one step closer!!@Can’t wait for my Sprig to arrive!
